Meet Our Staff

Senior & Youth Pastor

Hi, I’m Jonathan Reid and I became the Youth Pastor at Sardis Baptist Church in September of 2009. Over the years that role was expanded to Associate and Youth Pastor and now I am handling the Senior Pastor role in addition to also still serving as Youth Pastor. I have a passion to see people of all ages come to Christ and watch them grow in their relationship with Jesus. I love living life with other people and enjoying the journey together. I love being outdoors, hunting or fishing and playing sports. I love doing these activities and just spending time in general with my wonderful wife Allison and my children: Gracie, Ellie, Tobi, and Grady. If you have any questions, I am an open book so feel free to email me: jreid2232@gmail. I look forward to getting to meet you and serve you at Sardis Baptist Church!!!

Children’s Ministry Director

Hello! My name is Jessica Dyson and I serve as the Children’s Ministry Director
of Sardis Baptist Church where I have attended my entire life. I grew up at Sardis
surrounded by Christian disciples who became my extended family. My faith was
nurtured at home and strengthened at church and in the homes of our fellow
church members. I accepted Christ as my Savior at age 15 and began serving
God and others through various ministries of the church.
I have a full and busy life. I love to learn new things and share that knowledge
with others. I enjoy reading, singing, crafting, gardening, cooking and walking
outdoors exploring God’s Creation. I am blessed to share my life with my
husband Steve and our children – those born to us and those gifted us through
grace- Sam, Eli, Brianna and Kevin (and any that may yet be added).
It is my joy and honor that God has allowed me to continue the ministry of His
Church at Sardis in teaching children about the incredible love of our Heavenly
Father. I hope that parents and caregivers will find that partnering with the
Church at Sardis increases the positive influences their children experience in
order to build a foundation of faith in Christ which leads to a lifetime of love and
service to others.
